We're helping Oxford walking tour guide, Peter Hart increase his number of bookings online by taking new photos, revamping his website and getting his brightly coloured waistcoat more visible on local listings websites.
As walking tours are popular visitor activities in university towns, Peter has found it a challenge to get his tour ranked amongst the big operators. His unique selling point is that his tours of Oxford's famous landmarks are family friendly. He does this by presenting himself as a time traveller and tells stories of his trips to Oxford's past. A "things to spot" list keeps younger children engaged. Peter's existing photos were missing the mark and were not appealing to his target audience. As we all make quick decisions based on images, this was an obvious first thing to fix.
February isn't the ideal month for taking attractive photos, but spotting some rare blue skies one day, Paul joined Peter outside the Radcliffe Camera to persuade some passers-by to participate in a walking tour photo shoot. We were pleased with the results (see below) which show Peter in costume, talking to a group of punters with Oxford landmarks in the background. Peter is registered as an Airbnb Experiences guide and so this was the first place to update his pictures.
As well as hosting Oxford Time Tours, we are also working on updating his printed flier and website - more on this to come. If you would like to book a walking tour with Peter, visit his website at http://oxfordtimetours.co.uk
We're hosted on 100% green power.
